We understand that funding for resources is not easy to come by. We offer The Post-Standard eEdition at just 3.5 cents per license per day, or $249.00 per year for a class of 25. Sponsorships are available for eEdition use. Please email vkrisak@syracuse.com to request a sponsor. Print copies of The Post-Standard are available for 35 cents per copy daily and $1.00 per copy on Sundays. If that's not in the budget, we will set your classroom up with a business or individual sponsor who has donated funds to pay for the newspapers. Sponsorship priority is given to e-edition requests. Just fill out the order form and indicate that you need a sponsor. We'll do our best to secure support for your classroom.

The minimum e-edition requirement is five licenses per classroom, for either five-day or seven-day delivery during at least four consecutive weeks. For print orders, we require a minimum order of 150 newspapers over the course of an entire school year (10 copies per delivery). The delivery schedule is entirely up to you, but we are available to help you choose the best schedule for your classroom's needs.

We want to make it easy for you to use the newspaper in your classroom. There are no rules for what you do with the newspapers in your classroom, but we provide several ideas and programs to help you get started.

  • Resource Guides are available for all NIE teachers. Guides, which include lesson plans and activities that will help you and your students utilize the newspaper in the classroom, are available on this website under Teachers Lounge and several guides and special sections are available on the eEdition homepage.
  • We have a dozen special programs to help engage students of any age in learning with The Post-    Standard. Several subjects are covered in these programs, including geography, reading, math,     science, & economics.
