Calendar Options

The Post-Standard offers the most extensive calendar of local events in Central New York. If your organization has a meeting, event or activity you would like announced in the newspaper, we offer the following options:
  • CNY runs a Weekend calendar every Thursday and an expanded arts and entertainment calendar also runs Sunday in the Stars magazine.
  • A Community Calendar runs every Thursday in The Post-Standard Neighbors sections.
  • Every day The Post-Standard offers a calendar of events in the local news sections. To have a notice appear in any of these calendars please send the details to:

    • SPORTS AND BUSINESS DEPARTMENTS
  • Sports events run in the daily Sports section of The Post-Standard when space allows. Send your sports announcements to:

  • News about promotions, hirings, contracts, charitable donations by businesses and other company announcements are published daily in The Post-Standard's People in Motion column. Upcoming business events are announced daily in the Business Calendar. Submit your business announcements to: Business Desk, The Post-Standard, P.O. Box 4915, Syracuse, NY 13221, or fax them to: 315-470-2142. You can e-mail the information to business@syracuse.com.

    Your press release should include the name of the organization, location, date and hours of the event, and cost if applicable. Always list your name, address and daytime telephone number. Items should be sent at least two weeks prior to the date of an event or activity.
